IITGN, ISRO’s Space Applications Centre Offer Joint PhD Course

The Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN) held its 13th convocation on Saturday, during which 530 students received their degrees. The ceremony featured Rishad Premji, Executive Chairman of Wipro Limited, as the chief guest.

During the event, IITGN Director Rajat Moona announced a new joint PhD programme that will be launched in partnership with ISRO’s Space Applications Centre (SAC), Ahmedabad, starting from the academic year 2024–25. He explained that this initiative will allow scientists and engineers from SAC to enroll in the collaborative doctoral programme.

At the convocation, students were honoured for their achievements, with 56 students receiving a total of 57 medals — 40 gold and 17 silver — in categories such as academic excellence, innovative work, outstanding research, leadership, and more.
