NIFT Organizes Research Confluence, Alumini Meet
NIFT Gandhinagar hosted the Research Confluence 2026 event on Friday, focusing on the theme “Tradition, Innovation, and Rising India.” Alongside this academic gathering, the institute also conducted Kala Vaarta and Weave 2026, its annual alumni meet.
During the event, Prof. Sameer Sood, Director of NIFT–Gandhinagar, highlighted the significance of the recently signed Free Trade Agreement with the European Union and emphasized that the textile industry will play a crucial role in driving future growth.
A total of 42 research papers were presented, covering diverse topics such as cross-cultural management, social responsibility, sustainable supply chains, circular design, and various other emerging areas. The Kala Vaarta segment featured participation from prominent artisans across Gujarat and several other states.
NIFT alumni actively joined the meet and engaged in multiple activities organized on the institute’s Gandhinagar campus.
